Wynne, Dingwall & Pringle

Wynne, Dingwall & Pringle is a three lawyer firm located in the historic downtown section of Ancaster, Ontario. The lawyers in the firm are Robert G. Wynne, Michael A. Dingwall and Andrew D. Pringle. The lawyers are supported by a capable staff of five. The roots of the firm go back to the 1970’s, and the clients of the firm include a wide range of businesses and individuals, in the Ancaster/Hamilton area and beyond. The firm’s primary areas of practice are business law, real estate, mortgage enforcement, and wills and estates. As a small firm, Wynne, Dingwall & Pringle is always committed to doing work in a cost efficient manner, and in the process, providing good value to its clients. Much of the work done by the firm is on a block fee basis, providing certainty to clients with respect to the amount of their legal costs.

 

Robert G. Wynne, LL.B.

Robert G. Wynne

Mr. Wynne graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969 and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an LL.B. in 1972. Since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1974, Mr. Wynne has spent his entire career in private practice. He was a partner of McKeon and Wynne for seven years, maintaining offices in both Hamilton and Ancaster. He joined Wilkins, Wynne, Horodyski and McCluskey in Ancaster as a partner, and was with the firm for 15 years before it merged with Gowling, Strathy & Henderson in 1996. Mr. Wynne left to become a founding partner of Wynne, Dingwall & Pringle in 1998. A significant part of his practice is in mortgage enforcement, and Mr. Wynne represents both financial institutions and private lenders. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Hamilton Law Association. Mr. Wynne is the father of four children and lives in Ancaster where he has coached the Ancaster High School basketball team for over 30 years.

 

Michael A. Dingwall, LL.B.

Michael A. Dingwall

Mr. Dingwall obtained two degrees from Queen's University - an Honours Bachelor of Arts in 1972 and a LL.B. in 1975, before his call to the Ontario Bar in 1977. He worked for 14 years at Robinson, McCallum, McKerracher & Dingwall in Hamilton, initially as an associate, and later as a partner of the firm. Mr. Dingwall joined Wilkins, Wynne, Horodyski & McCluskey in Ancaster in 1991 as a partner, and was there when the firm merged with Gowling, Strathy & Henderson in 1996. He left Gowlings in 1998 to become a founding partner of Wynne, Dingwall & Pringle. Mr. Dingwall has an extensive wills and estates practice. He is also the legal counsel for the Provincial Council for Ontario; Boy Scouts of Canada, which holds and manages 300 Scout properties in Ontario. Mr. Dingwall is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Hamilton Law Association and the Hamilton Lawyers Club. Married and the father of one child, Mr. Dingwall lives in Hamilton.

 
Andrew D. Pringle, LL.B.

Andrew D. Pringle

Mr. Pringle was born in Hamilton and raised in Ancaster, Ontario. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University in 1985 and his LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 1991. After his call to the Ontario Bar in 1993, Mr. Pringle worked in private practice for five years. In 1998, Mr. Pringle became an in-house lawyer at a large, national electrical and mechanical contractor, as Corporate Counsel. He became Associate General Counsel in 2000 and then General Counsel in 2004. In 2005, Mr. Pringle moved back to private practice and to his home town of Ancaster, by joining Wynne, Dingwall & Pringle. During his career, Mr. Pringle has practiced law in a wide range of areas. His practice is now restricted to business law, real estate, and wills and estates. Mr. Pringle is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and Hamilton Law Association. He resides in Ancaster with his wife and two children, and his interests outside of law include traveling, golfing, skiing and running.
